Kelly Richman, LCSW

Kelly Richman is a Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting children (ages 4+), adolescents, and adults through life’s challenges. She believes therapy should feel safe, comfortable, and collaborative—a place where you can show up exactly as you are and feel truly heard.

Kelly’s passion for counseling began in her teenage years after witnessing the powerful impact of compassionate listening. Since then, she has worked in a variety of settings, including therapeutic foster care, inner-city schools, and home-based therapy. These experiences have shaped her warm, flexible approach and deep understanding of the unique needs of children, teens, adults, and families.

Kelly is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts and provides a judgment-free space where clients can explore concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship issues, grief and loss, life
transitions and developmental concerns. She understands that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming and honors the courage it takes to begin therapy.

Her therapeutic style blends clinical expertise with genuine warmth, humor, and connection. Kelly uses a person-centered approach and integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused
Therapy, and Play Therapy. Treatment is always tailored to meet each client where they are and support meaningful, lasting growth.
